What is PassForge?
PassForge is a free password generator that makes strong, random passwords in your browser. Set the length, pick which characters to use, and a new password appears straight away. Press New one until you like it, then copy it into your password manager or sign-up form.
Each password comes from your browser's secure random number generator, the same source used for encryption, and always contains at least one of every character type you chose. A strength meter shows roughly how many bits of randomness it has, so you can see how hard it would be to guess.
Passwords are made on your own device and never sent anywhere, not even to ToolClik. The short list of recent passwords lives only in the open tab and disappears when you close it, so copy the one you want into a password manager before you go.
What you can do
Length from 6 to 64
Slide to the length a site asks for. Longer passwords are much harder to crack, and 16 characters or more is a good habit.
Choose your characters
Mix lowercase, uppercase, numbers and symbols, or turn some off when a site doesn't accept them. Every type you pick is always included.
Skip look-alike characters
Leave out characters that are easy to misread, such as O and 0 or l and 1, so a password is easy to type from paper.
Strength you can see
A meter rates each password from Guessable to Unbreakable and shows its strength in bits.
Truly random, kept private
PassForge uses your browser's cryptographic random generator. Nothing you generate leaves your device.

Questions about Password Generator
Is this password generator safe to use?
Yes. Passwords are made in your browser with its cryptographic random generator and are never sent to ToolClik or anyone else. They are not stored once you close the tab.
How long should a strong password be?
Aim for at least 16 characters with a mix of letters, numbers and symbols. The strength meter in PassForge shows when a password reaches Strong or Unbreakable.
Can I make a password without symbols?
Yes. Untick Symbols and PassForge uses only the character types you leave on. Make the password a little longer to keep it strong.
What does “skip look-alikes” do?
It removes characters that are easy to confuse, such as O, o and 0, or l, I and 1. That helps when you have to read a password out or type it by hand.
Does ToolClik save my passwords?
No. The recent list exists only in the open browser tab and is gone when you close it. Copy the password into a password manager to keep it.
Do I need an account to use it?
No. PassForge copies the password to your clipboard and there is no file to save, so you can use it freely without an account.
