What is SoundSqueeze?
SoundSqueeze is a free online audio compressor that makes sound files smaller. Drop in WAV, MP3, M4A, FLAC, OGG, AAC, Opus or WebM files, pick a preset, and get lighter MP3s that are easier to email, upload or keep on your phone.
The presets do the thinking. Smallest and Voice save mono MP3s at 48 or 64 kbps, ideal for voice notes, lectures and podcasts. Balanced and Music keep stereo at 96 or 128 kbps, so songs still sound full. Each file shows its old and new size, so you can see how much space you saved.
Free compresses up to five files at a time, each up to 50 MB; Pro takes files up to 2 GB with no batch limit. Everything runs in your browser and your audio is never uploaded. Download the files one by one or all together in a ZIP.

Questions about Audio Compressor
Is this audio compressor free?
Yes. Free compresses files up to 50 MB, five at a time, with no watermark. You save the smaller files with a free ToolClik account. Pro, at $1.29 a month, takes files up to 2 GB with no batch limit.
Which files can I compress, and what do I get back?
You can add WAV, MP3, M4A, FLAC, OGG, AAC, Opus and WebM audio. Every file comes back as an MP3.
How much smaller will my audio file get?
It depends on the original. WAV and FLAC files usually shrink the most. An MP3 that is already small saves less, and SoundSqueeze marks it as already small.
Which preset should I pick?
Use Smallest or Voice for speech, such as voice notes, lectures and podcasts. Use Balanced for music on a phone, and Music when songs should keep their full sound.
Does it change how loud my audio is?
No. SoundSqueeze reduces the file size, not the volume or dynamics. To make quiet audio louder, use the free Volume Booster.
Are my audio files uploaded?
No. SoundSqueeze compresses your files in your browser, on your own device. They are never sent to ToolClik.
Does it work on a phone?
Yes. SoundSqueeze runs in phone browsers such as Chrome and Safari. Big batches are quicker on a computer.
