What is SquishPix?
SquishPix is a free online image compressor for JPG, PNG and WEBP files. Drop in your pictures, slide the quality, and see how many kilobytes each one saves. It runs in your web browser and never adds a watermark.
Most photos look the same at 70–80% quality but are much smaller, so they are quicker to email, upload and load on a website. Smart mode keeps JPG photos as JPG and turns PNG and WEBP into WEBP, where the savings are biggest. To reduce the image size further, cap the width at 2560, 1920 or 1280 pixels.
Compress up to 5 images at once on Free and download them one by one or as a ZIP. Your pictures are compressed on your own device and never uploaded. Saving them needs a free ToolClik account.
What you can do
Quality slider with real savings
Set the quality from 10% to 95% and see the old size, the new size and the percentage saved for every image.
Smart format choice
Smart mode picks JPG for photos and WEBP for PNG and WEBP files. Or choose JPG or WEBP yourself.
Shrink the dimensions too
Cap the width at 2560, 1920 or 1280 px for big camera photos. The height follows, so nothing is stretched.
Never a bigger file
If a picture can't get any smaller at the same size and format, you get your original back instead of a heavier copy.
Batch and ZIP
Compress several images in one go and download them together as a ZIP, or one at a time.

Questions about Image Compressor
Is this image compressor free?
Yes. Compress up to 5 images at a time, each up to 50 MB, with no watermark. Downloading needs a free ToolClik account. Pro, at $1.29 a month, removes the batch limit and takes files up to 2 GB.
Are my images uploaded?
No. SquishPix compresses every image in your browser on your own device. Your files are never sent to ToolClik.
How do I compress an image to 100 KB?
Lower the quality slider and, if needed, pick a smaller max width, then compress again. Each file shows its new size, so you can adjust until it's under 100 KB. There is no target-size box yet.
Will compressing make my photo look worse?
JPG and WEBP compression drops detail the eye barely notices. At 70–80% most photos look the same; at very low quality you may see blur or blocky edges.
Can I keep a PNG as PNG?
No. PNG files are saved as WEBP in Smart mode, or as JPG, because those are far smaller for photos. WEBP keeps see-through areas; JPG fills them with white. Safari can't make WEBP files, so use JPG there or open the page in Chrome, Edge or Firefox.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes. Open the page in your phone's browser, choose photos from your gallery and download the smaller copies.
