What is ClipTune?
ClipTune is a free online audio cutter. Drop in a song, voice note or recording, drag the Start and End sliders, and keep only the part you want. The waveform highlights exactly what you are keeping, and you can play the selection before you export it.
It works as a simple ringtone maker too. ClipTune selects the first 30 seconds to begin with; move the sliders to the chorus, tick Fade in and Fade out for a smooth start and finish, and save as MP3 or WAV. It opens MP3, WAV, M4A, OGG, AAC, FLAC and Opus files.
Your audio is cut in the browser on your own device and never uploaded. Try it without an account and save the clip with a free ToolClik account. No watermark, jingle or voice tag is ever added to your sound.
What you can do
See what you keep
The kept part is highlighted on the waveform, and the length of your clip is shown as you drag.
Cut to a tenth of a second
Start and End move in 0.1-second steps, so you can cut right before a beat or a word.
Fade in and fade out
Soften the start with a short fade in (up to 2 seconds) and the ending with a fade out (up to 3 seconds).
MP3 or WAV
Export MP3 at 128 or 192 kbps (320 kbps on Pro), or a WAV file for editing.
Preview before you save
Play the selection while you adjust it, then play the finished clip on the page before you download it.
