What is CaseFlip?
CaseFlip is a free online case converter. Paste your text, pick a case, and the result appears straight away. Fix a heading typed with Caps Lock on, turn a title into proper Title Case, or change everything to lowercase without retyping a word.
It also handles the cases programmers use: camelCase, PascalCase, snake_case, kebab-case and CONSTANT_CASE. It splits words at spaces, punctuation and existing capitals, so “myVariableName” becomes “my_variable_name” in one step. Each line is converted on its own, which makes lists of names quick to change.
The conversion runs in your browser and your text is never uploaded. There is no limit on how much you paste, from a single headline to a whole document. Copy the result with one click, or use it as the new input to change it again.
What you can do
Ten cases in one place
UPPERCASE, lowercase, Title Case, Sentence case, camelCase, PascalCase, snake_case, kebab-case, CONSTANT_CASE and aLtErNaTe case.
Sensible Title Case
Short words like “a”, “of”, “and” and “the” stay lowercase in the middle of a title, while the first word is always capitalised.
Sentence case
Lowercases the text and capitalises the first letter of each sentence, ideal for fixing text written in all caps.
Code-friendly cases
Turn phrases or existing variable names into camelCase, PascalCase, snake_case, kebab-case or CONSTANT_CASE, line by line.
Copy or keep going
Copy the result with one click, or press Use result as input to make another change.

Questions about Case Converter
How do I change uppercase text to lowercase?
Paste the text into CaseFlip and choose lower. To keep capitals at the start of sentences, choose Sentence case instead.
What is Title Case?
Title Case capitalises the main words of a title. CaseFlip capitalises every word except short ones like “a”, “an”, “of”, “the” and “to”, which stay lowercase unless they start the line.
Will Sentence case keep names capitalised?
No. Sentence case lowercases everything first and then capitalises the start of each sentence, so names and places like “London” need a quick fix afterwards.
What is the difference between camelCase, snake_case and kebab-case?
camelCase joins words with a capital for each new word (myFileName), snake_case joins them with underscores (my_file_name), and kebab-case uses hyphens (my-file-name).
Is my text sent to a server?
No. CaseFlip converts text in your browser and nothing is uploaded or stored.
Is the case converter free?
Yes, with no limit on how much text you convert. The result is copied to your clipboard, so you don't need an account.
